Super Mario Galaxy: An Outer Space Adventure by cecille gamas

Super Mario Galaxy, developed by Nintendo EAD Tokyo, is this year's much-awaited 3D action adventure game exclusively made for the Wii platform. As what's always expected from any Super Mario Series, Mario's escapade on the galaxy is full of excitement, fun and thrilling action sequences that will surely carry this sequel to success. From the title itself, most of Mario's adventure is on the outer space along an immense chain of miniature planetoids. This is the first time to see Mario back in action in the world of outer space and defeat his main antagonist, Bowser.

The game's story revolves around the celebration of Princess Peach and her citizens of a remarkable centennial event, passing of Comet over the Mushroom Kingdom. As things went wrong, Bowser and his legion interrupted this feast and made an attack by launching asteroids and crystalizing the toads. Mario's adventure starts when he tried to stop Bowser from kidnapping Princess Peach, but unfortunately he was hit by a magical attack from the Comet that brought him to the outer space, a place above the Mushroom Kingdom.

Just like other adventure of Mario Series, he is also assigned to collect and complete sacred objects to save Princess Peach's life. But to make this game unique among the other previous titles, this time, he will need to gather 120 Grand Stars which can be awarded to him when he completed the tasks or defeated his enemies. In order for Mario to reach the final level and save the life of Princess Peach from the hands of evil Bowser, he must jump or launch from planet to planet to gather items and overcome some obstacles created by his enemies. Since his adventure now is on the outer space, he must also focus from the force of gravity as it prevents him from drifting off into space. This cause the player to have a difficulty in circumnavigating rounded objects. Another factor that affects Mario from his jumping ability is the varying degrees of gravity used to pull him towards certain planetoids while in mid-flight.

One of the most impressive and innovative features of this game is the cool power ups of Mario that includes the come back of Super Mushroom and Fire Flower Power Ups. These classic features are very much-awaited because its their first time to appear in a 3D Mario platform game. There are also new added features such as “Ice Flower Power Up”, which enables Mario to freeze water surfaces in order to produce icy platforms and “Spring Power Up” which wraps him inside of a spring and allows to jump very great heights. Another most interesting feature is the astounding transformation suits of Mario which give more colorful designs and styles in this game. It includes the Bee Suit which transforms him into a bee and the Boo Suit which transforms him into a Boo Ghost. These fantastic transformations provide the player of special powers and abilities that help them to easily attack and defeat their enemies.

Beyond any doubt, Super Mario Galaxy is one of the year's much awaited and spectacular-looking Wii titles. It is truly great to see Mario, the famous Italian plumber, take his quest for the first time in the amazing world of outer space. With its exciting game play, new and fun adventure, creative story, fresh designs and styles filled with bright colors and amusing crystals, Super Mario Galaxy is certainly going to be a game to watch out for.
